Introduction

IMPORTANT UPDATE (March 10, 2022): Beginning March 30, 2022 I will be returning for in-person sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Proof of vaccinations will be required. Masks are optional and I will follow the preferences of my client(s) during the session.
Flexibility will be the name of the game as I work with each of you to find the best solution to your own unique situations in the coming months.

Thank you and stay safe,

No one is in control of your happiness but you:
Therefore, you have the power to change anything
about yourself or your life that you want to change.

~ Barbara De Angelis

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about therapy for yourself or someone you care about. I have been supporting individuals, couples, and families in their paths towards creating richer and more fulfilling lives since 1994. My philosophy is that the individual is influenced by and plays a role in their family, culture, and socio-economic environment. Growing up, the individual acquires their symptoms from this environment. Change is achieved by the individual who finds the key to transforming their environment and perception of their role in that wider system. Pema Chodron,  Esther Perel and Virginia Satir are influences in my perspective towards therapy.

“In the end these things matter most:
How well did you love?
How fully did you live?
How deeply did you let go?”

~ Jack Kornfield

Currently I have a private practice in Carrboro, N.C. with both day and evening hours. My areas of expertise include life transition difficulties, depression, anxiety, couples’ communication, inter-family relationships, and body image issues. Individuals and Couples comprise the majority of my practice. All lifestyle orientations are welcome.

I accept BlueCross BlueShield insurance and The NC State Health Plan.
